Minne everything

We have Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnetonka and so many others! Minne is apparently native for water - and there's plenty of it - over 10,000 lakes in the state! The twin cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul (MSP) are at the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers. The Mississippi of course flowing through the guts of America to the Gulf of Mexico.

The twin cities have been great rivals over the years with St Paul being the state capital, it is quite traditional in appearance with Minneapolis being a more modern brother. Minneapolis being younger with more modern skyscrapers downtown, while Saint Paul has been likened to an East Coast city, with quaint neighborhoods and a vast collection of well-preserved late-Victorian architecture.

Minneapolis was influenced by its early Scandinavian and Lutheran heritage. St. Paul was influenced by its early French, Irish and German Catholic roots.

The cities are home to 17 of the countries Forbes 500 companies with 3M and General Mills being two of them. The Mary Tyler Moore show was filmed here.

In fact, General Mills is why we're here! Kristin moved here to take on a leading HR role for the them after working with the company in Melbourne. The area here is often referred to as Mill City, and the rivers and water provide for the milling process.
