SIMPLY BAZAAR!

Looks like I've sorted out the Blog situation - anyway here's a go!

Istanbul has been beyond our expectations, bigger and more interesting resulting in a lot more leather being left in our wake! The old city with cobbled streets, alleys of vendors flogging everything from underwear to wedding ware! And in a fashion that is not franchised throughout the world.

The grand Bazaar and spice market have yielded some interesting treats for us to  consume. Fabulous dried figs, nuts of all shapes and sizes, chocolate covered Turkish delight discovered this morning as an accompaniment to our breakfast Turkish coffee.

Today was overload though of Mosques and Palaces. Interesting but a real challenge to remember all the info.

The highlight was undoubtably the Blue Mosque - blue because of the colour of the inside decoration!

  1. I'm glad the blog's working for you, so much more satisfying than Facebook! The mosque looks so impressive and the coffee does too :)
