Capilano - not Honey!

One of Vancouver's top attractions is the Capilano suspension bridge park and rainforest reserve. Towards the end of our stay we prepared well for this little adventure! It was to involve taklng the local public transport system via bus and ferry. Across the harbour via the Liongate bridge on the bus to the north shore where we had to change buses and head up the mountain to Capilano. The bus was full of suitably clad skiers off to the local ski fields at Grouse Mountain. The reserve was wonderful, excellent pathways through the rainforest threading their way past ancient Western Red Cedars that seemed to endlessly reach for the sky, a treetops suspended walkway and stunning gorge trails! It was close to town but felt like miles from civilisation!

Woke to the shrill calls of a squadron or two of the largest seagulls I've ever seen!

The suspension bridge was not for the fainthearted!

One of the canoeists below had fallen from his canoe!

The rainforest was lush in one of the wettest climates in Canada.

Homeward bound on the ferry with Vancouver city bathed in warming sunshine.
