Skippy in Vancouver - Hop on, Hop off!

We're here for 4 days so we figured the best way to put the city and surrounding area into perspective was to spend some time on a "Hop on, Hop off" bus tour. Not our usual way of sightseeing, but a great way to cover a fair distance here, especially the scenes in Stanley Park. We did one loop to get our bearings and then "Hopped off" in Granville Market town for a squizz and some lunch.

Winter does not do our lovely Sylvia hotel justice, so I copied a hotel shot in summer when it's famously covered in Boston Ivy.

That's it for day 1, more tomorrow. A quiet night at a nearby restaurant - Greek or Spanish Tapas, can't quite decide at the moment.

    Much bigger than the ones we used to grow on the tree next to the stairs down to the pool in Wahroonga!

    Wow! What does a goldenberry taste like? They look like yellow tomatoes. They should have called them Goldberry, from the Lord of the Rings :)
